File Preparation & Artwork Guidelines
Preparing Artwork for DTF Gang Sheet Printing
To ensure the best results from our high-quality DTF gang sheet printing and DTF transfer services, artwork must be submitted in a print-ready format. Following these guidelines helps prevent delays, quality issues, and unexpected results.
DTF Wholesale prints artwork exactly as submitted unless additional services are requested.
Accepted File Formats
We accept the following print-ready file formats:
-
PNG (preferred – transparent background)
-
PDF
-
AI or EPS (vector files)
All files should be properly prepared prior to upload. We do not automatically edit, resize, or correct files.
Resolution & Image Quality
-
Minimum resolution: 300 DPI
-
Avoid low-resolution images, screenshots, or web graphics
-
Artwork should be sharp and clear at final print size
Low-resolution files may result in blurry or pixelated prints.
Artwork Size & Scaling
-
Submit artwork at exact print size
-
Do not rely on us to resize or scale designs
-
If using a gang sheet builder, confirm final dimensions before checkout
Scaling issues are one of the most common causes of print errors.
Background & Transparency
-
Transparent backgrounds are required for PNG files
-
Do not include white or colored background boxes unless intentionally part of the design
-
Avoid flattening artwork onto solid backgrounds
Incorrect backgrounds will print as submitted.
Color Setup
-
RGB color mode is acceptable
-
Bright, high-contrast colors produce the best DTF results
-
Avoid extremely thin lines or very small text
Printed colors may vary slightly due to material, garment color, and heat press settings.
Fonts & Text
-
Convert all fonts to outlines (for AI/EPS files)
-
Avoid extremely small text
-
Ensure text is legible at final size
Outlined fonts prevent missing or substituted text.
Gang Sheet Layout Guidelines
If uploading a print-ready gang sheet:
-
Arrange designs within the purchased sheet size
-
Do not exceed width or length limits
-
Leave small spacing between designs to prevent overlap
If using our DTF gang sheet builder, spacing and layout are handled automatically.
Artwork Approval Responsibility
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving:
-
Design size
-
Placement
-
Spacing
-
Overall layout
Once artwork is approved, production begins. Approved files are printed as-is.
Testing Recommendation
Although DTF transfers work on many fabrics, we strongly recommend testing on your specific garments before full production. Different materials have different heat tolerances and application results.
